Stir-fried noodles

Hey there, noodle lovers! Today, I’m sharing with you a quick and easy recipe for the most delicious stir-fried noodles ever! Get your wok ready, and let’s get started!

Serves  4                Prep  10-15 mins                Cooking  10-15 mins

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. of your favorite noodles (I love using Chinese egg noodles for this recipe!)
  • 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil
  • 2 minced garlic cloves 
  • 1 small sliced onion 
  • 1 sliced bell pepper 
  • 1 cup of shredded carrots 
  • 1 cup of snow peas 
  • 2 tbsp. of soy sauce 
  • 1 tbsp. of oyster sauce 
  • 1 tsp. of sugar 
  • 1 tsp. of sesame oil 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 

 

Instructions:

  1. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until they’re al dente. Don’t overcook them, or they’ll turn mushy! Once done, drain and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  2. Heat your wok or a large skillet over high heat. Add the oil and swirl it around to coat the pan evenly.
  3. Throw in the minced garlic and sliced onion and stir-fry for a minute or two until they’re fragrant and starting to soften.
  4. Add in the sliced bell pepper, shredded carrots, and snow peas. Stir-fry for another two to three minutes until they’re cooked but still crunchy.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the wok and stir-fry for a minute or two until they’re heated through and combined with the veggies.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and sesame oil until well combined.
  7. Pour the sauce over the noodles and veggies, and stir-fry everything together for another minute or two.
  8. Taste and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy the explosion of flavors and textures in your mouth!
