Pasta bolognese

Hey there foodie friends! Today I’m bringing you a classic Italian recipe that’s sure to satisfy your cravings for something hearty and delicious – pasta bolognese!

This recipe is perfect for those busy weeknights when you want something quick and easy to whip up, but don’t want to skimp on flavor. So grab your apron and let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey or ground pork)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 pound spaghetti pasta
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

 


Instructions:

  1. First things first, let’s cook that ground beef! Heat up a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add your beef and get it browned up nice and good. Pro tip: Make sure to drain any excess fat.
  2. Next, let’s add some flavor to our meat with some chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté those babies up until the onion is translucent – that’ll take around 5 minutes.
  3. Time to add some tomatoes to the mix! Grab your can of crushed tomatoes and add it to the pot, along with some tomato paste, dried basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. While your bolognese sauce is simmering away, it’s time to cook up your spaghetti. Follow the instructions on the package to get your noodles perfectly al dente.
  5. Once your spaghetti is cooked, drain it and return it to the pot.
  6. Add your bolognese sauce to the pot with the spaghetti and toss everything together until it’s well combined.
  7. Time to dig in! Serve up your pasta hot and top it off with some grated Parmesan cheese if you’re feeling fancy.
