  • 2 rib-eye steaks, about 1-1/2 inches thick
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  1. Take the rib-eye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling. This will help the steaks cook more evenly.

  2. Preheat your grill to high heat.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub this mixture all over both sides of the steaks.

  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the steaks and use your hands to rub it in, making sure that the steaks are well coated.

  5. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (55°C) on an instant-read thermometer.

  6. Once the steaks are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the juices distribute evenly throughout the meat.

  7. Serve the steaks with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a salad.

Enjoy your delicious grilled rib-eye steak!
