Stuffed Cabbage Rolls served on a white plate

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole cabbage and let it cook for 5-7 minutes or until the outer leaves are tender and can be peeled off. Remove the cabbage from the pot and let it cool.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well-combined.

  4. Gently peel off the outer leaves of the cabbage, being careful not to tear them. Cut off the hard stem at the base of each leaf.

  5. Take a leaf and place a small amount of the beef and rice mixture in the center. Roll up the leaf, tucking in the sides to create a tight bundle. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.

  6. In a large baking dish, mix together the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and Worcestershire sauce. Place the cabbage rolls on top of the sauce.

  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the cabbage is tender and the filling is cooked through.

  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
