Grilled tuna salad sandwich on a plate

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of tuna
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped red onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Optional: lettuce, tomato, avocado

 

Instructions:

  1. Drain the tuna and place it in a mixing bowl. Use a fork to break it up into small pieces.

  2. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped celery, chopped red onion, salt, and pepper to the mixing bowl. Mix everything together until well combined.

  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

  4. Butter one side of each slice of bread.

  5. Place one slice of bread on the grill, butter side down. Add a generous scoop of the tuna salad on top of the bread.

  6. Add any additional toppings you like, such as lettuce, tomato, or avocado.

  7. Place the second slice of bread on top of the tuna salad, butter side up.

  8. Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the tuna salad is heated through.

  9. Serve the sandwich hot and enjoy!
