Baked Meat Stuffed Shells in a tomato base

Serves  6-8


  • 1 box (12 oz) jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste



  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.

  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions, then drain and rinse with cold water.

  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain off any excess fat.

  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, and salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Stuff each pasta shell with about 1-2 tablespoons of the meat and cheese mixture, and place them in a baking dish.

  7. Pour the tomato sauce over the stuffed shells, making sure to cover them completely.

  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.

  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  10. Let cool for a few minutes, then serve and enjoy!
