Welcome to my blog, where we’re all about delicious and easy-to-make recipes! Today, we’re going to be making a mouth-watering apple and goat cheese crostini that’s perfect for any occasion. This recipe is a crowd-pleaser and will have your guests begging for more!
So, let’s get started!
- A fresh French baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch thick rounds
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
- 4 oz. of crumbled goat cheese
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Get your baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.
Grab your baguette and slice it into 1/2 inch thick rounds. Arrange the slices on the baking sheet and brush each slice with olive oil. Give it a little seasoning of salt and black pepper, too.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the bread is crispy and golden brown.
While the crostini is baking, it’s time to prepare the toppings! In a small bowl, mix together the crumbled goat cheese and honey until it’s well combined.
Once the crostini is ready, take it out of the oven and top each slice with a few slices of apple.
Spoon a dollop of the goat cheese mixture on top of the apple slices.
Add some crunch with a sprinkle of chopped walnuts on each crostini.
Place the baking sheet back in the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the goat cheese is slightly melted, and the walnuts are lightly toasted.
Serve and enjoy this mouth-watering apple and goat cheese crostini! And remember, always feel free to add a little more honey on top for an extra sweet treat.
